Q:What web browsers work with ActiveFile?
A: Any web browser that is compliant with RFC 1867 should work with ActiveFile. This includes the following list of leading web browsers that we have tested:
  1. Netscape Navigator 3.0
  2. Netscape Communicator 4.0
  3. Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 (32-bit with upload patch applied)
  4. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0
If you wish to use the 32-bit version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 you must install the file upload patch available from Microsoft. Visit Microsoft's IE Home Page for download information. For more information on RFC 1867 support in Internet Explorer, please refer to the Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q161395.

An easy way to tell if a particular web browser understands RFC 1867 is to access your upload form with the browser. If the browse button is missing from the file input box, the browser does NOT support file upload.
