Q: I've got a VI6 project and a web site that is managed by Membership
Authentication. When I map the site to the Membership Service, I can no
longer open files using my VI6 project. When I remove the membership
mapping, I am again able to open files. A: At this time, you can't use FP extensions on a membership site. Create another site that points to the same content but don't map it to a membership instance. You will then be able to edit your content. A member's account must be mapped to an 'NTGroup' within the membership directory manager. The authentication type must be set to basic/clear text and lastly within Front Page administrator, you must select the mapped NT group and give them authoring permissions. - Alan Stuart |
